Breakfast: oatmeal and berry-flavored natural applesauce
Snack: slice ww toast with butter
Lunch: veggies & brown rice, salsa
Dinner: baked potatoes, mushroom sauce, beans & veggies
It's been a long, strange trip so far on this journey to sanity and weight loss, which I'm finding out are mutually exclusive goals.

Okay, I promised myself I would use this blog as my food journal, so here it goes:
Breakfast: oatmeal, raisins, applesauce & cinnamon
Snack: none
Lunch: brown rice, veggies, fat free gravy, banana
Snack: baby carrots
Dinner: leftover soups, ww bread
Snack: more baby carrots
Hmm, all I get to type in is this one-line window, yet when I click Edit, I get a bigger window. Weird.

The kid is getting antsy and decided to hit the mall - alone. I would have liked to go, just to get out of the house myself, but he said he needed to be alone for a while. Like sitting in his room for the past week watching anime DVDs wasn't "alone" enough for him? Still, at 19, he knows what he wants and I respect his wishes. I told him to buy his own lunch, then. :)
My email server is down, so most likely all my Yahoogroups mail is bouncing. I changed to the alternate address, but Yahoo sometimes takes hours or days to catch up to a change like that.
I think before lunch I'll get my sewing machines set up again and fix the strap on his attache before he gets home to surprise him. One week and 3 days until the next semester starts and he still hasn't put last semester's stuff away and get his binders emptied out. I expected it - he still has all his papers from his first year of homeschooling and was annoyed when I sold the books.
After that little sewing session, I'll probably grab a book of my own for a while. When I have 4 books going at once, I guess i *should* take advantage of all the reading time I can get. Unfortunately, with no sofa or LR chair, the only place to read is in the bed, and my favorite reading position has been known to aggravate my neuritis, requiring doses of anti-inflammatories and rub downs with arnica gel.
Being Friday, it's Pizza day, and with hubby not getting home until 6:30pm, I don't even have to start the dough until around 4:30pm. I'm amazed that I've been able to lose any weight recently, with these late dinners requiring extra snacks during the day. A few bites of either cheese, a HB egg, or some nuts usually holds me for another 2 hours. Today's late afternoon snack will probably be a bowl of veggies, since the only ones I'll eat otherwise today are the peppers and mushrooms on the pizza.
I am so BORED!! Maybe after sewing that strap I'll hit the road myself instead of reading. Or take my book down the park to read. It'll have to be read *in* the car, because it's freakin' COLD out there - down into the 20's after it being 41 when I woke up at 5am.
Well, it looks like I *did* find something to do! LiveJournal is down, none of the free accounts are allowed to post, so I started a Blog at Blogger. I've been meaning to do this, anyway, so here I am. http://suzybear.blogspot.com
